A Portland, Oregon native (now resides in Mesa, AZ), Wade has been playing bass since he was 15 years of age. He has played for various choirs, bands, and groups over the years in Oregon and Washington, which has seasoned him to become the musician that he is today. His first highlight was to play for the award winning gospel artist Tramaine Hawkins at the age of 18. He lends his distinctive style to Jazz, Gospel, R & B, Rock, Hip-Hop, Neo-Soul and Blues. His participation in a local jazz band in the mid 90’s fueled his passion to return to taking music more seriously. His local influences are Randy Starr, Danny Wilson, Steve Mays and Nate Phillips. His national influences are Bootsy Collins, Louis Johnson, Stanley Clarke, Jaco Pastorius and Victor Wooten (Vic and I share the same birthday - Sept 11). Note: Master upright bass player Ben Wolfe and Wade went to the same high school together and was in the same graduating class. Bass Links Blank Bass Sheet Music (PDF file) |
